Los Gatos Great Race CEO to test his survival skills  In the past two years, Akeena Solar has sponsored the Great Race, a yearly occurrence in the city of Los Gatos.  “We sponsor this race each year because it is a great community event where we can catch up with old friends while enjoying the fresh air” said Barry Cinnamon, President and CEO of Akeena Solar.   This year Akeenites will be doing more than just sponsoring: they will be participating. Barry Cinnamon is especially looking forward to the challenge of running…walking… crawling… this 4 mile course.  “I would really like to complete the race at a pace respective to my age, and with some luck a few seconds faster than my kids.”   Barry appears plenty fit, but when asked what he is doing to prepare for The Great Race, he stated that “In addition to my grueling daily whip-cracking routine I will begin a crash training regime sometime this week, though hopefully with less crashing and more running.”   One thing for sure is that the there will be plenty of runners of all ages participating in this annual event.  The Great Race begins at 9:00 A.M on April 15, 2007.  The Race is a 4 mile run that takes you from downtown Saratoga, down Highway 9 and ends in beautiful N.
